The UN Secretary-General is responsible for ensuring that the UN is capable of solving the world’s most significant and complex problems. It is time for reform of how the UN Secretary-General is chosen. Currently the Secretary-General is chosen in secret by just five countries in an opaque and outdated process.
An organization – 1for7billion.org – is making recommendations and calling for change. Other organizations such as WIFP, and individuals, are joining with 1for7billion to support this process.
