Protest

Mark, still dressed in his tux, heads over to the protest at the FCC against the deregulation of the airwaves. He joins two other "Billionaires for Media Mergers" who challenge the protesting "Angels of Public Interest." Shown here being interviewed, cigar in mouth and wad of money in his hand, he tells about how lucrative the media mergers are to him and his corporate media cronies.

Mark Allen interviewed across from the FCC building in Washington during protest of the deregulation of broadcast media.

Reverend Billy stated that the FCC protest March 22, 2002 is the beginning of a great movement in which the media will be democratized. The Reverend tried to touch a soul of one of the "Billionaires for Media Mergers" to get him to see the error of his ways. We believe he has succeeded in this case. The Billionaire went back to Memphis, Tennessee and is now engaged in media democracy efforts.
