Women Leaders Online New and Discussion List: a listserv
for those who support and wish to discuss general women's issues
and feminist sentiments. WLO contributes largely to the empowerment
of women in politics, media, the economy, cyberspace, and in society.
Measures taken towards this by WLO include non partisan lobbying
for grassroots organizations in support of women and pro-women
candidates, the maintenance of a website and online network for
the purpose of voter education, and links to other web pages,
news updates, and provide the public with access to senators via
email. This is an activist discussion group addressing the issues
and goals set forth on the website.

Rural Womyn: An email discussion list focusion on all aspects of what it means to be a rural woman in the United States. The list overcomes the distance and other barriers that prevent many rural women from meeting face to face. "It allows us to write about our own experiences as rural women, 'hear' the experiences of others, and explore the concept of 'rural women' as a group." Topics range from aspects of daily living to substantive issues and how they impact women, and, more specifically, rural women in the U.S. Members must currently live in a rural ara and bring rural perspective to discussions. The list is not open to those who have only an academic or professional interest in rura women's issues, or who have a primarily urban perspective.
